Amazon has stated that Call of Duty: Black Ops II has broken its pre-order records to become the game most pre-ordered through their site ever, with the following little tweet of self-advertisement:
Black Ops II broke records and is now our most pre-ordered game ever! Pre-order to get Nuketown 2025 Bonus Map.http://amzn.to/Ugvuvq
Obviously, there have been no actual figures given on how many copies of the game have been pre-ordered, so technically it could have just been five people beating out the four who pre-ordered the previous owner of the title. But this is Black Ops 2, after all, so you can probably add a few to that number.
Black Ops 2 was released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on the 13th of November, and will launch alongside the Wii U on the 18th November in the US, and the 30th of November in the UK, so any pre-orders at this stage will be for the Wii U version. The Nuketown 2025 map mentioned in Amazon's tweet is a multiplayer map that features a “Model Home of the Future” as imagined in the 1960s, and is available to anyone who pre-orders the game, whether through Amazon or not. But hey, at least if you pre-order with Amazon you'll be adding to the game's chance of holding onto that record.
