According to a Reddit AMA thread, Ubisoft staff members have confirmed that the PC version of Assassin’s Creed III will come with all the patches to date.
“Lots of bug fixes incoming. PC release will include the first two patches on release,” creative director Alex Hutchinson confirmed.
The PC version of Assassin’s Creed III will be out in North America on November 20, 2012, and in Europe on November 30th, 2012. The PC version will receive all the DLC the console releases have access to. What’s particularly interesting is that it seems like the PC version got a lot of love during the long wait. And Senior community developer Gabe Graziani believes that the wait was justified because they “added a lot more detail to the PC version and support for DX11. Stuff that we didn’t really need to think about for the console versions,” as well as some PC-specific patches.
As far as patches for the game in general, the next one is due “really really soon” and we’ll have details in the next week. The patches are going to keep on coming as Ubisoft shows a lot of support for the game. One interesting little feature that Hutchinson confirmed for a future patch is to allow players to “raise Connor’s hood post-ending”.
Ubisoft is still tweaking things too as far as controls go. You can check out the thread right now for even more details than we can fit as the AMA is still open. It’s nice to see developers still trying to improve and update their product, and taking full advantage of the patch features we have now.
