Video games that involve the government have been subject to a couple scrapes and bruises as of late. The Medal of Honor series recently scored seven members of Seal Team 6 a letter of reprimand. These SEAL team members gave video game makers too much information, even confidential information for Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Then today, Kotaku broke the story that David Petraeus has made it into Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. He even got a promotion to Secretary of Defense.
Petraeus is currently embroiled in an expanding web of intrigue and romance in the armed forces over the past few years. The scene Petraus is in can be seen below along with an interview with Petraeus' alleged lover on the Daily Show (below) when she was making the rounds for her latest book – All In: The Education of General David Petraeus.
It remains to be seen what will happen with CODBLOPS2. Petraus' scene could be easily removed with a patch or left in to attract some free press in order to fully overhwelm Halo 4. Time will tell.
