A newly released Japanese TV commercial is generating extra hype for the Nintendo Switch by casting the spotlight on a soft line-up of games, including Minecraft. Mojang’s massively popular voxel sandbox game released for the Switch just a few days ago, but is currently stuck at 720p due to weak hardware power.

Also showcased are Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Bomberman R and Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers. Nintendo’s exuberant motto of play whenever, wherever, and together with whoever you like really shines through in the commercial. Prior to the release of Nintendo’s latest console, there were doubts that its games line-up would be sufficient. Now, after gaining the support of indies like Fatal Fury, Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, Mr. Shifty, Graceful Explosion Machine and three Raw Fury games, things are looking up. Action-rhythm title Thumper is another late but explosive addition to the Switch line-up.
Super Mario Odyssey, which is expected to release during the holiday season of 2017, will be playable at this year’s E3.
