In America, we celebrate how thankful we are for everything we have by stuffing copious amounts of turkey into our mouths on the last Thursday of November every year. And then we roll out of our beds in the middle of the night and fight each other over awesome discounts so we can go Christmas shopping on the cheap.
This year will be no different, and as retailers eagerly gear up for Black Friday, Best Buy is already tempting consumers to go stand in their lines for hours, rather than some other stores. Gamers can reap the rewards too, as during Thanksgiving weekend (November 22-24) you can get discounts galore on games and consoles.
Thinking about buying certain console? As with everything else, Black Friday’s the time to do it in the U.S., as PlayStation Vita will have its Black Ops Declassified bundle for $50 off. Microsoft is also discounting an additional $50 off on their Xbox holiday bundle that comes with downloads for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Forza Motorsport 4. If your PlayStation 3 is in need of some new controllers like mine is, you can buy them for $35, along with Xbox 360’s. A Skylanders Giants Starter Pack is $50, instead of $75.
Too many good games come out in fall, and often it’s either our pockets or lack of time keeping us from partaking in them all. Consider treating yourself or someone else with Borderlands 2, Madden NFL 13, Forza Horizon, FIFA 13, Diablo III and the highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed III for $35 each. If you or someone you know might enjoy a dancing game, you can grab Just Dance 4 and Dance Central 3 for just $25.
