Halo 4 Secrets Guide

November 5, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Want some help in Halo 4? These guides will have you covered.

halo 4 secrets

Halo 4 is arguably the biggest game of the year, dwarfing even Assassin’s Creed 3 in its size—though perhaps not in scope. Next to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Microsoft and 343 Industries’ first person shooter is perhaps the publisher’s most highly anticipated game since Halo 3 many years ago.

The game stars John-117, better known as the Master Chief, who finds himself on the planet of Requiem after being set adrift with Cortana on the derelict ship, Forward Unto Dawn. Waking from a cryogenic stasis, Master Chief finds himself under attack by rogue forces of the Covenant and is forced to crash land on the aforementioned planet.

As I write this article, those of you in Australia and New Zealand have already gotten your hands on the game, with the rest of the world soon to follow as the game goes on sale through countless midnight launches tonight. Given that you’ll be playing the game by the time you read this, there’s a good chance that you’re going to need some help with getting the most out of the game—which is where we come in. With that in mind, we’ve put together a host of guides for Halo 4.

First and foremost, you may wish to mess around with the game’s various modifiers—known as Skulls—in the game if you’d like to ramp the difficulty up by several notches. You can find out how to do that here.

Once you’re in the game, there’s a few things you should look out for called Terminals, which serve to fill you in on backstory in the Halo universe. These hidden Terminals enrich the setting and give context to your missions. This Terminal Locations Video Guide will help you to find all of them.

If you think you’ve missed anything, you can always check out our Easter Eggs Guide. They don’t do much, but they’ll provide you with no small amount of amusement.

Finally, if you’ve think you’ve gotten the hang of the single player game and feel ready to tackle the multiplayer, there are many hiding spots you should keep in mind to give you that extra edge against your opponents in combat.
