There are a ton of fans hoping that Nintendo will bring out a GameCube Virtual Console for their latest generation consoles. It started with the Nintendo Wii U as gamers hoped that they could once again, enjoy the expansive back catalog of the GameCube library.
Unfortunately, that never happened leaving gamers the ability to enjoy a back catalog of video games up to the Nintendo 64 era, along with the collection of Wii titles. Now that we’ve moved onto the latest generation console release that is the Nintendo Switch, gamers are still holding out hope we may see some type of GameCube featured video game titles available for purchase.
While Nintendo has yet to confirm that we’ll see such a thing on the Nintendo Switch, the added ability of Joy-Cons being replaced has allowed some designers to think outside of the box.
Instead of using generic Joy-Cons that come with the default console, one Reddit user that goes by the name of IanMazgelis, posted an image of what a mockup GameCube Joy-Cons could look like.
The controllers are similar in how they can slide onto the console, but instead, they support the same design and look when compared to the original GameCube controller.
Already, the post received over 40,000 upvotes which suggest that this would be a quick purchase if Nintendo opted to release something similar. Let us know what Nintendo GameCube video game you would like to see played on the Nintendo Switch by leaving a comment down below.
