Breath of the Wild – How To Solve All Shrines | Great Plateau Walkthrough

March 7, 2017 by Kevin Thielenhaus

On Switch & WiiU: Navigate all the tricky dungeons of Breath of the Wild with puzzle solutions and boss combat tips on Gameranx’s complete dungeons guide.

Table of Contents – Great Plateau Shrines

  • Oman Au Shrine – Magnesis Trial
  • Owa Daim Shrine – Stasis Trial
  • Keh Namut – Cryonis Trial

Ja Baij Shrine – Bomb Trial

The final trial is located in the Eastern Abbey. The area is guarded by killer guardians that can blast Link in a single shot. To avoid these enemies, climb up onto the abbey walls and sneak by the guardians. Watch out for the bright red charging laser. If you’re spotted, run for cover.

  • Rune Unlocked: Bomb

The Bomb rune allows you to summon bombs that can destroy weak walls or blocks. Bombs can also damage enemies. When you summon a bomb, you can either place the bomb or throw it. A thrown bomb has a few-second long fuse. A placed bomb can be remotely detonated.

Use the bomb to destroy the first weak walls ahead. Then destroy the weak blocks on the right — there’s a chest that contains a Traveler’s Claymore inside. Continue to blow apart walls until you climb a ladder and reach the next puzzle.

At the wall of weak blocks with the pit, place a bomb on the moving platform then remotely detonate on the other side. In the next room, go up the steps and place bombs in the funnel. When they’re launched by the pushers, remotely detonate to destroy the weak walls blocking the ladder to the exit.

The stone pushers in this chamber can also push Link to another optional chest in the left corner.

Use the ladder to reach the end of the fourth shrine. With all four Spirit Orbs, return to the Temple of Time and pray at the altar — you’ll be able to exchange the Spirit Orbs for more hearts or more stamina.

  • Goal: Get the Paraglider — Talk to the Old Man at the top of the Temple of Time. After completing the shrines, he’ll give you the paraglider. You can now leave the Great Plateau and start the true quest.
