Do you know what sucks? Getting a disease. One day you are prancing around all happy as Larry, and suddenly, your life is made harder because you touched a corpse and contracted super-leprosy. What a cruel twist of fate. Now you have it, how do you cure Flesh Rot in Baldur’s Gate 3?

It is not too difficult once you grasp one of the core principles of any fantasy epic. In this guide, we are going to not only walk you through how to get rid of Flesh Rot but all diseases found in Baldur’s Gate 3.

How To Cure Diseases In Baldur’s Gate 3

The trick to understanding the solution to any problem is to ask a magician. It doesn’t matter if they are poetry-based, tree-based, or tyrannical-and-obviously-evil god-based. If you have a problem, ask someone who can wave their hands and make sparkles appear.

The spell you are looking for is Lesser Restoration. This is a level 2 spell that can be learned by most casters, but Shadowheart is the obvious candidate. Why? She’s a Cleric and knows it by default.

Shadowheart might be our suggestion, but these other classes can of course learn it as well:

  • Bard
  • Druid
  • Paladin
  • Ranger

Considering none of those other classes appear (by default) in the early game of Baldur’s Gate 3, Shadowheart remains your best bet. If you just so happen to be one of the above, feel free to use it yourself.

You can also use Lesser Restoration to cure any disease, poison, paralysis, and even blindness – not just Flesh Rot. This makes it quite useful in a pinch.

Other Ways To Cure Flesh Rot In Baldur’s Gate 3

Finally, if you don’t want to cart around a Cleric, Bard, Druid, Paladin, or Ranger, despite some of these being the best classes in the game, then you have some other options at your disposal.

The two that spring to mind are dedicated potions that have a ‘Lesser Restoration’ effect, or scrolls.

We are not sure how rare these alternatives are, so if you don’t have one lying around, you have one final option. Head back to camp, add Shadowheart to your team, use Lesser Restoration, and then kick her out of your team again. That way you aren’t burdened by one of the best characters in the game, and you are free to roam around with Hirelings or something.

That’s all we have for Baldur’s Gate 3 for now. Be sure to check out our other guides and lists for more Baldur’s Gate content.
