Final Fantasy 15 is fully playable from beginning to end and the first half of the game has the "quality of the final product," according to programmer Satoshi Kitade on the game's Japanese forums.
Kitade wrote that the first half of the game is complete “with the quality of the final product,” and the entire title can be played in its pre-beta form.
Moving forward, the team aims to polish and adjust aspects of the gameplay, but at this stage the developer gets the “sense you’re playing it in its final form.”
“That the development staff are able to grasp the whole picture is very important,” Kitade added. “As a programmer, we are ready to concentrate on optimization.”
Final Fantasy 15 is expected to launch in 2016 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a release date announcement due in March.
