#4 Star Wars Battlefront
Pandemic Studios first started up the Star Wars Battlefront series back in 2004 where it was a major success that led to a second title within the franchise followed by the development of a third. However, Pandemic Studios has since closed leaving EA DICE to work on a reboot of the series years later. The gameplay trailers have gotten us eagerly waiting to pick up our favorite blasters and fight alongside our either for the Rebel Alliance or turn to the dark side and join the Imperials. For those unaware, Star Wars Battlefront is a video game series that tosses players into some of the most action-packed battles that took place within the Star Wars franchise.
Instead of just playing as one of the main characters from the film such as Luke Skywalker, the game focuses on standard troops and vehicles. Players can change the way a battle plays out or even partake in battles that were never filmed for the blockbuster movie franchise. For instance, there will be a DLC launching with Star Wars Battlefront known as the Battle of Jakku, a battle that precedes the events of the upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Regardless, the Battlefront franchise is loved by casual gamers to hardcore Star Wars fans and we’re pretty sure the force is telling us that a number of gamers will be spending their holiday break playing the upcoming game.
