Chocobo GP: How to Unlock Every Racer

Although it might seem like a simple kart racer on the surface, there are actually a lot of systems at play in Chocobo GP. From attacks to magicite to the actual racing mechanics present in the game, there’s a lot for players to keep track of. One of the most important things for a player to choose, however, is which racer they’re going to play as.

In Chocobo GP, the chosen character matters as each one has different abilities and powers they can use while racing. While not uncommon for kart racers, this approach is pretty different from a lot of the most popular ones like Mario Kart which, while featuring plenty of different characters, the chosen racer doesn’t impact the gameplay at all.

There are 24 total characters to unlock in Chocobo GP with more premium characters on the way unlocked through purchasing the Prize Pass such as Cloud from Final Fantasy 7 and Squall from Final Fantasy 8. The 24 characters featured in the base game, however, don’t require any additional purchases to unlock.
