#1 Elden Ring
- Developer: FromSoftware
- Publisher: Bandai Namco Entertainment
- Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, XBO, X/S
- Release: February 25, 2022
We probably don’t need to explain too much about Elden Ring. This had been on so many players’ anticipated game releases for 2022. FromSoftware has a huge following, especially after releasing the Souls games. Here, we have a brand new game IP which was crafted not only by the talented team at FromSoftware, but also with the help of George R.R. Martin. The development team reached out to the beloved fictional author to help build out the lore of this game world. Speaking of the lore, the game is centered around a demigod that has corrupted the world. Players will venture through the world fighting off all kinds of massive demonic enemies as they attempt to gather all the pieces of the fabled Elden Ring. Fortunately, there is some freedom in how you traverse, fight, and even what areas to explore. If you enjoy the challenging gameplay that the past works FromSoftware delivered, you can expect quite a bit of that here. However, if you’re not keen on taking out every beast or boss, you’re in luck. It turns out that you can avoid some bosses this time around. Regardless, we’re not expecting this game to be a cakewalk.
