Dropping To The Bottom Of Hex-A-Gone [Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout]
The cruelest of the cruel tricks in early Fall Guys. This Battle Royale doesn’t involve shooting or stabbing, but it’s just as ruthless when the community started digging into the devious meta game. And Hex-A-Gone was an early shock to our systems — in this game, players try to stay on a series of floating platforms stacked on top of each other in layers. Dropping into the bottomless pit is game over, so everyone wants to stay up high as long as possible. Right?
One evil trick that worked wonders early on was to immediately drop down to the bottom level of the Hex-A-Gone and start removing hexes. Each layer is composed of dozens of hexes that start to disappear when you step on them. The trick to falling to the bottom first is that you completely clear as much of the lowest layer as possible, so when the other players reach you, they’ll simply fall straight down to their doom. It’s a ruthless strat that can be countered… but back when Fall Guys was new, we just weren’t expecting this.
Raiding The Ball Pit [Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout]
Another diabolical meta that threw the early community for a loop — and it was absolutely hilarious in the early weeks when (almost) nobody knew how to stop this scourge of teamwork events. In the Egg Scramble event, all the players are split into teams. To win, your team has to collect the most eggs and throw them into the their basket.
Until some players realized… you could just steal the eggs from someone else. Why do all the hard work when you can walk into another player’s egg basket and throw the eggs out? This disruption became such a big deal, players would debate endlessly over whether it was trolling, or even fair. Experienced Bean Boys totally adapted to the new meta by assigning goalies to block enemies trying to throw your valuable eggs, but for a short time, this little trick was also unstoppable.
