#2 F1 2020
The upcoming F1 2020 video game will keep up with the game mechanics and playstyle that you would be familiar with if you had played previous installments. With that said, players will receive a new game mode called My Team and it allows players to create their own racing team rather than using an already established team. From there you can compete against the 2020 lineup in this intense simulation racing experience. Just as before, players can also expect a two-player split-screen available if you wish to join in a race with a friend. Otherwise, standard multiplayer game mode options will be available.
Unfortunately, the normal F1 2020 season saw several delays because of the current health pandemic outbreak we’re seeing today thanks to the coronavirus. With that said, this game will see the original schedule planned for the championship. These games can be a bit technical for some players but those that really enjoy F1 and the line of titles released over the years should find quite a bit to enjoy with this game. We’ve seen some great reception so far from fans which in particular has taken up with the My Team mode.
#1 Project Cars 3
Project Cars has been a successful series from Slightly Mad Studios. This isn’t much of a surprise as the studio has produced several great racing games over the years. Included in the mix is Need For Speed: Shift, Shift 2, and of course Project Cars which has two installments readily available right now. So far, a third installment is in development with plans to bring it out next month. We knew that the studio has been working on another installment, but until now it’s been a game that’s avoided announcements for the most part.
Project Cars 3 is slated to release next month for current-generation platforms. We’ll see even more customizable vehicles and circuits that will take players all around the world. As you’ve likely already expected, this installment will make use of different seasons and weather dynamics for players to deal with. Additionally, there will be VR support on the PC platform, unfortunately, it doesn’t look like it will be available on the PlayStation VR. One element that’s being stripped from this game installment is tire wear and fuel. As a result, the races will continue on without players having to worry about pit stops. This may be a welcomed new element to Project Cars 3 although those wanting a bit more realism may find Project Cars 3 to go towards a more arcade-style racing game.
At any rate, we’re still waiting to get our hands on a copy of the game. So far Project Cars 3 is not slated to launch until August 28, 2020, for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. In the meantime, you can check out the game trailer featured above.
