Every Video Game Announced At PlayStation 5 The Future of Gaming Show

June 11, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

Watch all the trailers for the game reveals right here.

Goodbye Volcano High

Goodybe Volcano High is a narrative-driven storyline in which players follow a group of unique creatures in a story of leaving high school and starting their next journey of become adults. It’s a game that doesn’t have any fine details out quite yet, but it is slated to release both on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 at some point in 2021.

Oddworld Soulstorm

Oddworld has been around for decades and while this is a new installment, it’s actually a remake of the 1998 release, Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus. Rather than being a standard 2D side-scrolling game, this title will expand not only on the narrative but the gameplay mechanics, such as featuring a brand new 3D environment. With some additional characters, and voice work, players will get to once again embark on a mission with Abe against a new terrifying Machination.

Ghostwire: Tokyo

We’ve seen Ghostwire: Tokyo in the past but now a new trailer has come out during the PlayStation 5 stream event today. The trailer once again showcases the gameplay we’ll be enduring which is set in first-person perspective. With the city overrun by a variety of deadly supernatural enemies, players will have to face against these threats head on. Players are tasked with finding out what is causing all the vanishings and along the way, you’ll come across supernatural entities that may be hostile or nice. It’s a unique jump from The Evil Within which offered a more linear horror approach while it seems that GhostWire: Tokyo is looking to take a more open world, though that’s speculative at the moment. While originally slated for 2020, Ghostwire: Tokyo has been pushed back for 2021.

Jett: The Far Shore

Jett: The Far Shore is a game being developed by Superbrothers, the team that has brought out Sword & Sworcery. This game is a bit of a mystery right now as the trailer showcases two individuals seeking out different worlds and apparently saving people that are haunted by some type of a supernatural element. We’re uncertain just what Superbrothers have in store for us just yet, but we should get some more information soon as the game is slated to release into the market this holiday season for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

Godfall

Counterplay is an indie studio that features talent that worked on quite a few different AAA video game titles. Their upcoming title in the works for PC and PlayStation 5 is Godfall which is a game catered towards cooperative gameplay. So far we know that the game is an action-RPG where the narrative is based around a high fantasy setting. Players will be taking on the role of the last member of the Knight’s Order, an organization that was established to prevent any potential apocalypse events. Godfall is slated to release at some point this holiday season.
