Every Video Game Announced At PlayStation 5 The Future of Gaming Show

Jun 11, 2020 Dennis Patrick

Watch all the trailers for the game reveals right here.

Stray

Stray is an interesting video game release coming out for the PlayStation 5 in 2021. This game puts players into the role of a stray cat lost in a world filled with androids. You’ll have to carefully maneuver around this world in order to escape the cybercity and return back to your home.

Returnal

Returnal is a game coming out from Housemarque. The title follows a woman trapped on a planet as she sets off to find a means of escape. From what we are able to gather it looks like it will be a mixture of a third-person shooter with a roguelike setup. Each death will alter the world giving players a different set of levels to explore. However, it seems that the more often you die the sanity of our character will start to dwindle down to nothing. Unfortunately, we don’t have a release date quite yet on when the game will be available.

Sackboy A Big Adventure

LittleBigPlanet was a hit exclusive platform franchise for PlayStation. However, it looks like we may have a slight rebrand for the PlayStation 5. We got our first look at a brand new 3D adventure game featuring Sackboy. It looks very much the same style of gameplay as LittleBigPlanet and it does appear that there is the option to enjoy this game both as a solo experience or with a team of friends in some chaotic fun. If you recall the past installments to the LittleBigPlanet franchise, there was plenty of gameplay moments in which puzzles required the use of multiple characters so this is likely going to be a game that’s more enjoyable with friends when it launches exclusively for the PlayStation 5.

Destruction Allstars

Destruction Allstars is a new action-packed sports event that pins a variety of different cars to smash and attack each other within a race course. While there is a Twisted Metal vibe, it does seem like there may be some more to the game outside of just wrecking cars throughout the entire match. There’s been a few scenes in which players are freely running within the course while avoiding the vehicle pileup along the way. What the goal is for those players compared to the ones inside vehicle remains to be seen. However, our interest in this new competitive sports game has been piqued.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a story-driven action adventure game that looks an awful lot like an animated Dreamworks film production. Players will take tthe role of a young boy named Kena as he attempts to find out the demise of his beloved village. Along the way, Kena will be able to befriend magical creatures known as Rot, which can help manipulate the environment.
