You Can Sprint Even Faster With Tactical Sprint
There’s a second sprint! The Tactical Sprint allows you to run even faster than before — just double-tap the sprint button. After the sprint, you’ll have to spend a long time recovering to shoot back. If you’re caught in a Tactical Sprint, you’ll never shoot before your opponent. It’s better to save this faster-sprint for areas where you’re feeling especially safe. Or, if you’re running to an objective in Ground War.
Sick Of All The Special Effects? You Can Disable Motion Blur In Settings
Here’s a nice feature. When you’re playing online, every little visual setting helps. And now you can disable world motion blur and weapon motion blur — you can even disable the film grain effect completely. Go ahead and clear up all those unnecessary effects for a less-cluttered visual experience! Or keep them if you’re into all that. Personally, I’m pretty into all that.
You Can Earn Double XP Tokens By Playing The Campaign
If you’re thinking of skipping the campaign, I recommend giving it a playthrough first. You’ll earn double XP tokens and other multiplayer-only rewards for finishing campaign missions. The campaign itself is a great starting point to familiarize yourself with this game’s brand of movement and aiming speed. You’ll get a fun experience, and some handy double XP tokens you can use later.
NVG Mode Is Default For Night Maps — And You Can’t ADS
New NVG maps put you in a very dark place. There are handful of maps with Night variants, and in these maps you’ll automatically equip NVG goggles. These goggles help you see, but you’re completely unable to ADS. Instead, you activate a laser sight and zoom slightly. When the laser sight is on, anyone wearing NVG can see it. It makes for a tense game of cat-and-mouse.
Join Friends To Fight Through Call of Duty’s Greatest Hits In Co-Op
Finally, you’ll be able to join friends for Co-Op missions on a massive map. The missions are designed to emulate missions from previous Call of Duty games — you’ll defend your friends with a gunship in the sky, or fight through airplanes filled with terrorists. It’s a unique mode, and we’re very excited to see what plans Infinity Ward has for the future.
