Borderlands 3: Get Legendary Guns With This Latest Boss Farming Method

October 2, 2019 by Kevin Thielenhaus

All the best ways to farm in Borderlands 3 have been pretty nerfed by Gearbox in the latest Hotfixes, so if you’re looking for a totally new method, there’s one that’s been bandied about in the Borderlands 3 community over the weekend. It’s all about re-fighting a mid-game boss over and over. If you’re lucky, it’s a pretty good way to grab extra random Legendary guns.

The previous method was all about a tiny Loot Tink on Eden-6. You could reset endlessly, sprinting to the respawning Loot Tink, blasting him, and collecting a big pile of fancy Legendary guns. That method isn’t quite so good anymore — if you’re looking for an improved way to hunt for Legendaries, you’ll want to aim for a different enemy on Eden-6. Hint: it’s a giant tree monster thing.

Currently, the community believes there’s one Legendary farming method that’s better than anything else — it’s the final boss of Eden-6. The Graveward is located at the vault, around the halfway point of the story.

Unlike other major bosses, there’s nothing to stop you from blasting it during the entire fight. There’s no lengthy pause between phases, and there’s no invulnerability. Just keep shooting!

    • Increase Mayhem 1 / 2 /3

Like anything, the more you increase Mayhem 1/2/3 to improve your chances of getting a Legendary. The boss has a high chance of dropping a Legendary, and ever 2/3 kills you’ll be able to re-enter the Vault.

The Vault repopulates the loot boxes on a timer, so you might get lucky and earn a good item if you check. In my experience, it’s a lot more likely that the boss will drop a gun.
