Gearbox Software has announced Borderlands 3, and it’s coming out in 2019. That isn’t all the news for the coop looter shooter — fresh updates for Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Presequel are coming, with updated texture packs that are free for everyone. There’s also a Borderlands 1 remaster on the way. Basically, it’s a pretty good time to get back into Borderlands.
There’s been a steady trickle of information out of Gearbox, and a few trailers. In those trailers, eagle-eyed viewers have found hidden SHiFT codes that work for Borderlands 2. SHiFT codes are 25-digit codes that were released periodically that give players free rewards. They’re on a timeline, so not every code lasts forever — some of them only last a few weeks, while others might not expire for years. It isn’t always clear, but these three codes were only just found.
They’re all confirmed to work, and inputting them will earn a couple cool cosmetics (a Zer0 skin and a head), along with a bunch of gold keys you can use. One of the codes actually gives up a whopping 100 keys in a single package. For loot maniacs, that’s a pretty awesome find.

To input these SHiFT codes online, all you need to do is sign-up for a SHiFT account on the official Gearbox website here.
Naturally, you can also input these codes in Borderlands 2. Open the game, and you can find the SHiFT input window in the [Extras] menu. Check here for more detailed instructions.

Keys can be used in the main town to unlock a special chest. 100+ keys for a single code is a pretty good deal, but SHiFT codes only last a limited time. If you want to take advantage of these SHiFT codes while replaying Borderlands 2, I recommend doing it soon-ish before they expire.
