Divinity: Original Sin 2 takes place after the first installment. During a time of wars and religious persecution, Bishop Alexandar the Innocent declares all Sorcerers to be criminals. Now a group of four Sorcerers embark on a journey to defeat the Bishop. Players can join together in a party as well making the journey cooperative or it can be played completely alone.

#16 Luigi’s Mansion 3

Luigi’s Mansion received its third installment in 2019 with Luigi’s Mansion 3. The game once again pins Luigi against a slew of ghosts as he must venture through several haunted locations to save his friends. Gameplay will also be mainly the same from those who may have enjoyed the previous installments. Throughout the game, Luigi will use his specialized vacuum style machine to capture the ghosts. However, there will be a new change up to the series and that’s with a cooperative game mode. With that said, the game is still fully available to be enjoyed alone.

#15 Fallout 4

If you’re a fan of the Fallout franchise then it’s likely you’ve already picked up the latest release. However, if you’re completely new to the series, Fallout 4 still marks as a great first entry. Set during the events of a nuclear war, players manage to escape into a vault, only to awaken hundreds of years into the future. What’s left of your world is nothing more than decay and outsiders trying to make it by in this new world.

Each installment to the Fallout franchise manages to bring out an incredible wasteland to explore and Fallout 4 is no exception to that trend. You’ll come across old ruins, new structures, and a fleshed out cast of characters to meet along your journey.

#14 Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Taking place after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, players can enjoy the last installment of the beloved franchise in which was directed under Hideo Kojima. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain follows Snake as he goes through a new mission that takes him to a Soviet-occupied Afghanistan territory.

During the journey, Snake seeks his revenge on those who destroyed his forces during the ending of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, however, to do so, he will have to explore and chart the lands. For fans of the franchise, this latest installment is seen to be a bit different in terms of the gameplay with this time around, developers have allowed players a little more freedom when it comes to completing objectives rather than following a specific set of orders.

#13 Super Mario Odyssey

Super Mario Odyssey was unveiled during E3 2016 where players were shown off a brand new free roam world similar to the Super Mario 64 video game release. Mario will be exploring brand new worlds with a new ability thanks to a specialized hat companion. With this hat, players can control just about anything giving a wide range of ways to complete the level.

#12 XCOM 2

XCOM 2 takes place in a world where the commander lost in the first XCOM. Things didn’t go out as planned, and the aliens conquered planet Earth. They took over human governments and eliminated almost all resistance to their invasion–except for a few remaining members of XCOM. The game offers players a chance to strike back at the aliens, operating in secret and performing the kind of guerilla attacks that the aliens would’ve done during their invasion.

#11 Control

Control is a supernatural video game that follows a young woman named Jesse who comes across a hidden government building. Once a great division for studying and at times combating supernatural entities that show up in the world, a new unknown force has caused mass hysteria. Luckily, the lockdown measures have kept this force from exiting the building and flooding the world. Now Jesse is not only here as the new accepted leader of this division but also unlock some of her own secrets from her past.
