It did not come as a shock when it was announced that a new installment in The Evil Within franchise would be coming to market. The title takes place three years after the events of the first video game, where Sebastian once again, takes on a new investigation filled with horrifying creatures to face against. However, this investigation touches close to home for Sebastian as he will get the chance to tie up loose ends from his past.
#24 Kingdom hearts 3
Kingdom Hearts III finally came out into the marketplace in 2019. The game was highly anticipated as Square Enix took years to bring out the third installment. Of course, this game franchise is known for a complex narrative thanks to the side story game releases, but you will get a good recap of what you need to know if you jump right into the third installment. Regardless, this single player video game follows Sora and his gang as he embarks on a journey that takes him to a wide range of Disney themed worlds such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story, and Frozen. Overall, the game will have players collecting keyblades and stopping the heartless and bringing back a peaceful state. If you enjoy action RPG titles then this is one game you should consider picking up.
#23 Fire Emblem: Three Houses
If you’re after a strategy RPG title then you can’t go wrong with Fire Emblem: Three Houses. This is the first installment of the franchise to have made its debut on the Nintendo Switch platform. Players follow a story in which the protagonist, Byleth, teaches a class of students as they prepare for battle. With the world around them seemingly crumbling with rival factions, Byleth has a pretty big task of preparing warriors but suddenly a woman that only Byleth can see appears leaving a new mystery for you to unfold.
#22 Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
A new single–player focused Star Wars game came out in 2019 from the studio that brought out the Titanfall franchise. Respawn Entertainment launched Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which takes place shortly after Order 66 that executed most Jedi in the galaxy. Few survived, much like our protagonist, Cal. Being a padawan when the execution was ordered out, our Jedi hero has been keeping a low profile to survive. This ultimately doesn’t last and it triggers a new wave of resistance to fight back against the tyranny empire. Gameplay can be described as a mixture of Uncharted level of exploration with combat that mimics the Souls series as you’ll need to memorize attacks and block attacks successfully.
#21 Gears 5
In Gears 5 players will follow a female protagonist Kait Diaz as she embarks away from COG, or known as The Coalition of Ordered Governments army. Within the game, Kait has been dealing with visions that may take her journey to showcase truth behind the origins of the Locust. As you progress through the narrative, you start to unravel more truth to your family lineage but we’ll, of course, refrain from spoiling anything here. If you played any of the previous installments to the Gears franchise then you can expect the same overall gameplay mechanics with a few new introductions like the Skiff a heavy armored wind-surfing vehicle.
#20 Horizon: Zero Dawn
Horizon Zero Dawn marks as the first IP developed by Guerrilla Games since their release of Killzone in 2004. This is an action role-playing video game title that is set a thousand years into the future.
Mankind has mysteriously fallen with cities only a shell of a once thriving society. Now only small tribal groups remain with giant mechanical beasts roam the world openly. The plot will revolve around a female hunter named Aloy who sets out on a journey to explore the open world, meet with other tribes, and potentially learn of the reason mankind fell to being with.

Bloodborne is an action RPG from the creators of the Souls series. Since this is from the developers who have brought out such hits as Dark Souls, you can expect brutal gameplay. Players are set out to clear out the city of Yharnam who’s inhabitants have been hit with a blood-borne disease causing them to turn into beasts.

The Last of Us saw countless awards once the studio unleashed this video game into the market.
This is an action-adventure survival horror type video game set in a world where a disease that turns people into mindless creatures similar to zombies has started to spread globally. Players take on the role of Joe who must deliver a young girl named Ellie to a group safely across the United States.
With bandits, thieves, military, and lastly infected between Joel and his objective, players will have to carefully maneuver around the levels strategically. However, the narrative journey will tug on your heartstrings leaving you begging for more.
