We’ve spoken of the popularity Fortnite has had on gamers and even professional athletes. However, it has become a problem for some. For instance, there have been reports of major league baseball players falling into a Fortnite addiction that has actually cost them playtime due to carpal tunnel syndrome.
That was actually the case for Boston Red Sox pitcher, David Price, who has stated that he is dropping Fortnite during downtime at the ballpark in order to avoid distraction from his professional career.
Speaking of MLB, there was even a report of Cleveland Indian’s ballpark staff taking over the jumbotrons in order to play a game of Fortnite. Apparently, the weather had caused a delay for the game so a few staff members opted to make use of the downtime by playing the game on a massive big screen.
