#14 Borderlands 2 – View in 4K Resolution here.
Outside of gameplay, graphics are one of the most important aspects of video games today. In some cases, they're even the most important aspect, which doesn't necessarily make them the best of games, especially if the development focus is on how pretty it looks more so than how it plays.
In any case, we've established that graphics are important, and being visually oriented creatures, we have a tendency to ogle over shiny things—video games being the best of 'em outside of diamonds and fake, overpriced crystals.
Those with the beefiest computer rigs can play games at 4K resolutions without hurting too much in the framerate department. To that end, we've gathered some screenshots courtesy of Rashid Sayed which have been taken in 4K res and downsampled to a reasonable 720p to showcase just how good looking games can be these days. The screenshots include games like Borderlands 2, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and Crysis 3.
The following screenshots were put together by redditor and prolific gamer "OhmygodIhaveahernia," whose beefy system puts me in awe—if not making me slightly jealous.
