Are you looking forward to Assassin's Creed 3? Once you're done with that, are you ready to play Assassin's Creed 4 or one of its spin-offs in 2013? Well, ready or not, it seems to be an inevitability at this point.
In an interview with NowGamer, Assassin's Creed 3 Creative Director Alex Hutchinson reveals that Ubisoft has already planned out their strategy for the series for "years to come." Not only that, but based from his comments, a yearly Assassin's Creed game is to be expected.
As long as everyone likes AC3! We've talked a lot about that. If we can tell a really high quality story and deliver it every year then I don't see any reason why we'd stop. At the moment it's such a popular franchise and we've managed to keep the quality up pretty much.
Hutchinson also adds that the Assassin's Creed brand is already planned out at Ubisoft for years to come and states, "We're in the best position we've been in the franchise in terms of having a plan of where we're going for the next several years."
So, I take it we're going to see another Assassin's Creed game next year, no?
Are you fine with the franchise's annualization or should Ubisoft let the brand rest for a bit before it gets stale?
Assassin's Creed 3 is scheduled to hit later this month on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
