While Spark Unlimited is still busy developing Lost Planet 3 for Capcom, could the studio have another Capcom game on its plate already?
In the latest issue of PSM3's rumors section (via TheSilentChef), they've heard rumblings that Capcom has asked Spark Unlimited to reboot an unnamed adventure series and they're speculating that it could be "Onimusha."
Onimusha is, of course, Capcom's action-adventure game set in feudal Japan. While the series was a staple back on the PS2, it's last retail outing was six years ago with Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams.
Seeing as the franchise did have a rather large fanbase before (and possibly even now), it wouldn't surprise me to see them rebooting it for current or next-gen platforms. Of course, we're hoping Spark Unlimited doesn't have too much on its plate, too. As they need all the help they can get if Capcom wants Lost Planet 3 to live up to its potential.
Would you want Capcom to reboot Onimusha or has the series ran its course?
