Rumor: The First Batch of Xbox Pass Games Revealed; Includes Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive, and Much More

February 28, 2017 by Jordan Biazzo

Which game are you most interested in?

Earlier today Microsoft announced their new Xbox Pass program. A service that offers “unlimited access to over one hundred great Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles” as part of a monthly subscription of $9.99 per month. This particular service is expected to launch “late Spring 2017” and will be available for Xbox One and PC.

Microsoft has not officially announced the games that will be featured when the service launches, however, ThisGenGaming reports that due to a source within the Xbox One Alpha preview program, the first 31 games have been revealed.

We see some games that appear to be in the promotion art (above) like Halo5, NBA 2K16, and LEGO Batman. However, if this report remains true, there are a bunch more titles that are not in the promoted picture.

Check out the list of the first alleged games for the program down below:

  • A Kingdom for Keflings
  • Banjo-Kazooie
  • Comic Jumper
  • Dark Void
  • Defense Grid 2
  • Gears of War Judgement
  • Gears of War Ultimate Edition
  • Halo: Spartan Assault
  • Hexic 2
  • Jetpac Refuelled
  • Kameo
  • Max: The Curse of Brotherhood
  • Monday Night Combat
  • Ms. Splosion Man
  • OF: Dragon Rising
  • Perfect Dark Zero
  • Sacred 3
  • Sam & Max Beyond Time
  • Sunset Overdrive
  • The Maw
  • Viva Pinata
  • Halo 5
  • Saints Row 4
  • Mad Max
  • NBA 2K16
  • Lego Batman
  • Mega Man Collection
  • Terraria
  • Payday 2
  • Fable 3
  • Tekken Tag Tournament 2

New games will be added to the catalog “every month” as others are removed. The service functions much like Netflix in this sense.“Play games across multiple genres, from action/adventure and family favorites to shooters, sport, puzzle games and more. And with new titles added every month, you’ll always have a wide selection of great games to choose from,” the website reads.

Games are downloaded “directly to your console and play online or offline in full-fidelity, without any streaming or connectivity issues.” Subscribers will also be given a 20% discount on purchasing a game from the catalog and 10% off “all related add-ons.”

The Xbox Pass Program is set to debut this Spring.
