To take a drink from the livestream firehose for Sony's Tokyo Game Show press conference today is a fool's errand, but lucky for you Gamasutra's Mike Rose has collected all the juicy tidbits. Here are the highlights in the briefest possible form.
- New PS3 "Super" Slim: as previously reported, the new model is 25% smaller than its previous iteration and comes in 250GB ($269 US) and 500GB ($299 US) flavors.
- Several publishers detailed upcoming titles for both PS3 and PS Vita.
- Playstation Mobile will be arriving via the Playstation Store on October 3rd.
- Playstation Plus will extend to PS Vita in November and will feature many of the same benefits as the PS3 version, including store discounts and free downloads.
- Playstation Plus on Vita will also feature automatic game updates, trophy sync and 1GB of cloud storage at no extra cost.
- The old crummy regular PSP is receiving a price cut to 13800 yen (no US price cut has been announced).
- New Red and Blue Vita models are scheduled to hit the shelves November 15th.
- Sony now has a cure for cancer.*
