While sports games get yearly iterations, it's still pretty much a big deal since roster updates and incemental gameplay changes are important to sim fans. Of course, when you're talking about sports, there's none bigger in the world than football…or what people in the US call soccer.
Fortunately for you, FIFA '13, EA's 2013 take on its mult-million selling footie sim, has its first-ever gameplay footage surface. While non-FIFA fans might see it as more of the same, football fans will surely notice all the little gameplay adjustments EA is bringing to the table.
What I sometimes like about videogame sports games is how you can do ludicrous plays that you know won't work in real life. One prime example is the goal scored in about 0:20 seconds in. The player manages to keep bring the ball from half-field and even score all by his lonesome. Mind you, he did do some fantastic footwork to get there, but I doubt that happens regularly in real-life soccer. Not that it matters since I know footie fans will buy the game regardless of the footage.
FIFA '13 is set for release later this year on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
