Netflix is a massive online subscription service around the world. It’s practically the go-to service for most consumers when it comes to streaming television and movies. In fact, the subscription service is available on just about everything which includes smart TVs, smartphones, tablets, computers, and consoles.
Needless to say, Netflix is available on just about everything, but the upcoming Nintendo Switch console may be one of the first consoles in this current generation to lack support. Nintendo recently just held their presentation of their upcoming console release, the Nintendo Switch, and even during the presentation there was still information that the presenters failed to showcase. This included some of the inner components that power the console itself, so it’s not surprising that there may be some information not available for a public reveal quite yet.
One NeoGAF user decided to reach out and see if Netflix would be supported on the Nintendo Switch console upon release. According to one representative, the console is not supported and no information has been given regarding any updates towards Nintendo’s upcoming console support.
This doesn’t mean that the Netflix application won’t end up on Nintendo Switch, in fact, there’s a good chance that Netflix customer service support representatives are not given any details regarding the Nintendo Switch console’s Netflix application. Furthermore, there could be negotiations between the two companies currently on bringing the service over to the upcoming console.
At any rate, there’s likely a device or two available within most gamers homes that can access Netflix to tie them over until the app is officially announced. What do you think? Let us know if you believe Netflix will be supported on the Nintendo Switch and if it’s even a deal breaker when making a decision on picking up the console by leaving a comment down below.
