Injustice 2 now has an official release date attached and gamers can expect to see the video game launch in just a few months. Previously, the upcoming sequel to Injustice was rumored to be releasing in March after the title appeared on the Xbox Live Rewards page, but game director Ed Boon was quick to shoot down the hype.
Before the rumors began to spread too far, Ed Boon alerted his followers on Twitter that the upcoming installment Injustice 2 would not be releasing on March 28, 2017, after it appeared within the Xbox Live Rewards page.
This newly confirmed news started to leave gamers questioning as to if they would see a release for the video game within the near future though they didn’t have to wait very long before any official launch date announcement. A few short days later after the original release date was debunked, Ed Boon once again took to Twitter to officially announce just when gamers can expect the game which is on May 16, 2017.

We’re just a few months away before we are able to once again pin our favorite DC Comics superheroes and villains against each other. Unfortunately, we don’t have too many new characters reveals quite yet for the upcoming title.
For the most part, we know that some familiar faces will make a return such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the Flash. Likewise, there have been a few new characters being added to the roster such as Supergirl, Gorilla Grodd, Harley Quinn, and Deadshot. Being that there are just a few months left before the video game launches, we’ll likely see developers NetherRealm Studios unveil new character additions soon.
Once again, gamers can expect Injustice 2 to launch on May 16, 2017, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS, and Android platforms.
