Konami has announced plans to bring the Castlevania franchise to the PC for the first time in what seems like forever. Indeed, unless I'm mistaken, it'll be the first time the franchise has ever been released for the PC.
The announcement was made over Twitter by Lords of Shadow producer Dave Cox, who tweeted:
"That's right! Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 is coming to PC!"
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 takes place right after the events of the first game, starring Gabriel Belmont who assumes the mantle of (spoiler alert!) Dracula.
Little is known about the game at this point, except that it will tie in with the 3DS entry titled Mirror of Fate, which takes place across a period of 25 years and is split into four different perspectives. In the 3DS game, players take on the roles of Trevor Belmont, Simon Belmont, Alucard, and Gabriel Belmont at different times in history.
The two storylines are expected to converge, with the events in Mirror of Fate setting up the events of Lords of Shadow 2.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will also be out for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
