If you want to try Counter-Strike: Globale Offensive before plunking down the cash, then you'd better own a PS3 and be a PlayStation Plus member.
According to a post on the official US PlayStation forums (via NeoGAF), the PSN Store will be sending a CS: GO timed trial (60-minutes of the whole game) to PS+ members automatically. Of course, Plus users need to make sure that their "Automatic Download" settings are turned ON, and that you have the "Download recommended games and videos" option enabled.
If you don't do the instructions above, you can forget about trying the demo as it won't be available on the PlayStation Store and is exclusive to PS+ members.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is set to hit on August 20. So if you're planning on snagging this, make sure you follow Sony's instructions and set it on before or on August 20…that way, once you wake up on the 20th, the CS: GO trial should be sitting pretty on your Games folder ready to go.
So, any PS+ users thrilled to hear this news? As a long-time CS player, I'd love to try the game out and see if it's as fun as its predecessor still is.
