Destiny is getting in the festive mood as it announces their winter special, The Dawning. The Dawning is a free update for anyone who has the latest Destiny expansion pack, Rise of Iron. The event will begin this December and run until early January.
The newly released trailer shows a little of the festive feel Destiny plans to bring this year. The postmaster brings you gifts daily, there’s snow falling, and special themed helmets. Watch the full trailer down below:
The Dawning also comes packed with new quests, bounties, and weapons to get. It is packed with content, but perhaps the biggest news is that Sparrow racing is making a return. Yes, that is right Sparrow racing will be making its way back into Destiny, so if you want to do some racing make sure to play sometime this month.
The Dawning will feature new Quests and Bounties to complete, a new Record Book filled with challenges to conquer, the return of Sparrow Racing League with two new tracks, one set on Earth and one set on Mercury, and a brand new game mode called Strike Scoring.Additionally, players will be able to further customize their Guardians with new gear, Sparrows, Ornaments, consumables, Shaders, Emblems, Emotes, and more.
Destiny: The Dawning starts on Dec. 13 for all platforms.
