Developer Mojo Bones and Bandai Namco announced earlier today, via an announcement trailer, a brand new survival game titled Impact Winter.
You will be playing as Jacob Solomon, one of the few last survivors from a devastating asteroid collision with earth as he manages to try to stay alive with a couple of other survivors. Your goal: keep your companions alive until rescue. Take a look at the official description of the game down below, and watch the announcement trailer above.
The year is 2018 and the world we once knew is no more – the planet is buried deep beneath a constant snowfall after a devastating asteroid collision. Supplies are scarce and each day provides a tougher challenge for survival than the last. Suddenly, Ako-Light, your robot companion, receives a radio transmission that changes everything… Help is coming in 30 days.
At the moment the game is slated for an early 2017 release date for the PC. There is no word on whether or not Impact Winter is going to make its way to other platforms. Impact Winter has been a game in development for quite a while and the team at Mojo Bones are extremely excited for the release of the game.
“The teams here at Mojo Bones are both extremely proud and excited to partner with BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment for the release of IMPACT WINTER,” said Stuart Ryall Co-Founder and Designer at Mojo Bones Ltd. “As gamers, we formed Mojo Bones in 2011 with the intention of using our newfound creative freedom to explore and design unique ideas and concepts. IMPACT WINTER represents the most ambitious step in our journey so far; taking inspiration from our favorite games, movies, music, and literature in an attempt to build on those influences and create a one-of-a-kind survival adventure for 2017.”
