In an interview with CyberConnect2 President Hiroshi Matsuyama, the fans at Naruto-MX discussed the upcoming addition to the incredibly successful Naruto series. Although Matsuyama couldn't divulge any details about the story or the playable characters, he did discuss other additional features and the development of Storm 3.
Adding to gameplay features, Matsuyama said that power boost will be available from the beginning of the game, but will play a more strategic role in Storm 3. Quick time events will also be making an appearance in story mode. Matsuyama stated that by adding QTE, Storm 3 will have a greater replay value. He also teased a new mode that will be available in addition to the story, but couldn't share any other details outside of its general – and ambiguous – existence.
Matsuyama also went into specifics about the development cycle for Storm 3. He explained that after Storm 2's completion, the team was divided into two groups, one of which worked on Generations and the other on Storm 3. The game has been in development for over two and a half years and isn't merely a quick sequel to Generations.
Naruto Storm 3 is slated for a Spring 2013 release and will be available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
