Prey, the first-action sci-fi game from Arkane Studios has a new video out. This alternate history video is entitled “The History of TranStar” and details more about the dark history of Talos.
In the alternate future that Prey takes place in, President Kennedy survives the assassination. This sets off a chain of events that lead to the central conflict of the game. Kennedy ends up throwing the nation further into the space race by taking control US/Russian join program, called the Kletka Program, and transforms a Russian satellite into a fully functional R&D facility meant to study nonterrestrial life. This facility became known as Talos I, a highly advanced space station owned by TranStar Corporation.
In the few years since TranStar took over, the station has been used as the testing ground for some morally ambiguous experiments that used humans on board as test subjects. People like Morgan Yu. After he awakens on Talos I, Morgan finds the station overrun by Typhons, the non-terrestrial entity the facility was studying and had previous safely contained. The scientists’ aim was to study the life forms to improve the scope of human abilities. Morgan, aided by some strange-alien based powers. Morgan must survive the incursion, uncover the mysteries surrounding the Typhon, and save humanity from the impending doom aboard the station.
