Today inXile and Techland announced that Torment: Tides of Numenera is also getting a console release. They uploaded a new trailer for the game to commemorate the occasion.
This Kickstarted game takes you across a land called the Ninth World, where magic and unpredictability are rampant. The story will be an emotionally charged narrative, driven the character personalities that move the plot forward. It’s a world full of morally grey decisions, balanced with an equal focus on entertaining combat variety in order to provide depth to the gameplay action.
Torment: Tides of Numenera is coming out on PC, PS4, and Xbox One all at the same time in Q1 2017.
“After the critical and commercial success of Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut on consoles, and with fans clamouring for it, it had been in our plans to bring Torment: Tides of Numenera to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One,” said inXile CEO Brian Fargo. “We’re especially excited to be partnering with Techland, who as developers themselves perfectly understand how to do a release without any compromise to the quality of the title.”
The console versions will appear at this year’s Gamescom. To stay in the loop with game updates in the meantime, check out the team’s website, Twitter, and Facebook.
