Pokemon Go Player Has Hit The Level Cap, Now What?

July 28, 2016 by Kris Kittie

With the help of a bot, Reddit user _Problemz hit level 40.

One Pokemon Go player has done what no one else has, until now…he’s hit the level cap of 40. This player, Luca, did use a bot to hit the level cap, but now at least we know what happens when someone gets there.

Luca, known also as _Problemz on Reddit, detailed what he received as a reward. This includes 40 Ultraballs, 40 Max Potions, 40 Max Revives, 40 Razz Berries, four Incense, four Incubators, and four Lure Modules. In addition he received four Lucky Eggs, which upon being cracked, gives the player double XP for a half-hour.

Luca used a bot because if he did it organically, he would have needed to gain more than 50,000 XP a day for an entire year straight. This makes it pretty apparent that not many players will be able to make it to level 40 without some type of device like a bot anytime soon.

Although Luca himself has no use for the items he received as a reward, it does hint that the level cap will be raised eventually so players can make use of their boons.
