Looks like a listing for an unannounced Metal Gear Solid video game was posted on Amazon. After it’s discovery started to pick up heat online, the listing mysteriously vanished, though could it mean we’re up for a brand new Metal Gear Solid game announcement from Konami?
It’s clearly too early to speculate on the listing now as we only have a name. After being discovered and posted on Reddit, the internet began to question what Metal Gear Solid: V Definite Ex will be based about. The more obvious choice to run with is a definitive edition that includes Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain along with Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.
For the most part, it seems that most of the other details listed for the video game such as media format and its release date were simply placed as a placeholder. Regardless, the posting has since been taken down and Konami has yet to make any official announcements on the matter.
We’re curious to see how well the announcement of another console game from Konami will do after the company’s latest track record with gamers. With Hideo Kojima leaving the company along with the cancellation of Silent Hills, gamers have been very vocal against the company, but anything is possible. For now, we’ll have to wait and see what Konami reveals, we’re certainly crossing our fingers it’s not another pachinko machine.
