The little indie first-person shooter that had everyone talking since it’s flash game debut, SuperHot, will soon be receiving virtual reality support. You may soon be able to go through this time bending adventure in a whole new way, but don’t get too excited as there’s no specific release date as to just when this compatibility version will be released.
News from the official SuperHot website alerted its readers that the development team was working closely with the folks over at Oculus in order to release SupertHot VR later this year. As mentioned above, this is a first-person shooter that comes with its own little unique twist.
“We’re now working super close with the guys at Oculus to release SUPERHOT VR later this year. We’re really trying to capitalize on all of the new design possibilities that Virtual Reality is giving us.
The level of game immersion that you get from playing SUPERHOT in VR is simply crazy. We try to add as much as we can to that from us. Recently, we played around with holophonics type of sounds in SUPERHOT. Thanks to that you will be able to for example “locate” a passing bullet just by the noise it creates.
No more shooting in the back from now!”
Unlike normal shooters, time moves incredibly slow until players move. Depending on how fast you move within the game will determine how fast the world around you will progress. Now players are able to dodge bullets and execute the enemies in ways that feel a bit more Matrix in style.
SuperHot released earlier this year on February 25, 2016, for PC, but was later released on May 3, 2016, for the Xbox One.
For now, we’ll have to wait and see just when the VR edition of SuperHot will be releasing. Take a look at our review of SuperHot right here along with the game gallery posted down below.
