Square Enix has finally revealed Final Fantasy VII Revelation’s release date.

The third installment in the remake series releases on April 8, 2027, on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. The release date was revealed as part of today’s State of Play.
Square Enix seems to have a roadmap to promote the game for the next eight months. They already announced that they would be bringing the game to New York Comic Con, PAX West, and Gamescom.
There are still a few details that we aren’t sure about yet. There are rumors that the game will have DLC, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Subsequently, director Naoki Hamaguchi is still trying to figure out their SKU plans for the game. In hindsight, this is alluding to how they may miss the deadline to secure a physical PS5 disc release for this title.
CD Projekt RED just talked about how they can’t guarantee that The Witcher 4 will have a PlayStation disc version. Truthfully, Sony’s plans may already mean that Final Fantasy VII Revelation won’t be on PlayStation discs anymore.
