A new set of leaks have hit GTA 6, and for unexpected reasons.

Videotech shared a succinct a summary on Twitter:
- Two gameplay video clips have leaked.
- An whole alleged map has leaked.
- The motive behind the leak is the game not having a disc copy, alongside Sony discontinuing discs, according to a statement on the leaker’s website.
- Rockstar is actively currently in panic mode and are taking the leaked video and images down.
The leaker, Cyberleek, shared the two GTA 6 gameplay clips on Twitter here and here. As you can see, DMCA reports have taken these videos down.
And as we have pointed out before, because these DMCA takedowns happened, Rockstar and Take-Two have themselves confirmed that these leaks are real.
Cyberleek wrote a manifesto explaining and justifying their actions. Among other things, they advocate for publishers to make physical copies of games for pre-order, or to not offer pre-orders at all.
While they say this, however, their video footage includes links to Cyberleek’s cryptocurrency. While this throws their sincerity into question, his action points to a sobering problem for Sony and Take-Two.
Because other hackers could attack them for this reason too.
