Battlefield Studios has admitted to a major flub on their latest update to Battlefield 6.

They shared this update on social media:
Following the launch of Season 5, backend configuration changes resulted in an unintended issue affecting XP earn rates across modes and hardware progression (such as weapons).
These backend changes have now been reverted, and our team is actively monitoring telemetry to ensure earn rates return to intended levels across all experiences.
As explained by Eurogamer, Battlefield 6 has had a bad history with low xp rates, that Battlefield Studios had to fix for months.
Players were irked because this buggy patch released at the same time that Battlefield started selling a $ 30 level skip upgrade called The Ultimate Shortcut Kit. Sunsequently, some fans suspect that Battlefield Studios discreetly started using generative AI. This isn’t just because of the suspicious appearance of some content, but because of this serious mistake that Battlefield Studios had already previously addressed.
