A surprise leak has emerged for FromSoftware’s Switch 2 exclusive, The Duskbloods.
Allegedly the descriptions for the game’s 14 playable characters/classes just leaked. Fans are using machine translation, but we’ll focus on the character classes names here.
The characters/classes are named below:
- Blood-Eater – Walter
- Guillotine – Gillian
- Foul-Rot – Veronica
- Nail-Pierced – Sebastian
- Coffin-Bearer – Maurice
- Thread-Torn – Oscar
- Mud-Treader – Ulan
- Candle-Snuffer – Isabel
- Gut-Rinner – Randolph
- Gazer-of-Flesh – Yuri
- Ash-Crown – Camilla
- Rust-Gospel – Baldur
- Dusk-Silt – Elsa
- First-Shard – Nameless Shadow
The Duskbloods’ closed network test is launching in a few days, and we expect that these character descriptions, and maybe even some of the names, will be translated differently. And of course, these could all be debunked on the day the tests start.
Still, these descriptions create an interesting picture of the game. Each character has a vaguely medieval/folk tale type backstory, with dark undertones.
All these characters also appear to have blood based supernatural powers. If this leak is real, The Duskbloods actually directly described what these characters are.
Suffice to say we can’t wait to find out what FromSoftware had in mind and why they decided to bring this title exclusively to the Switch 2.
