The download size for The Witcher 3’s Blood and Wine expansion has been revealed to be somewhere between 10 to 15GB. Posting on Twitter, the game’s community manager Marcin Momot stated on Twitter that players across Xbox One, PC and PS4 platforms can expect to initiate a download upon the expansion’s release on May 31st. The actual size will vary depending on the platform.
Additionally, there will be a patch released for all players—not just those who own the expansion or the DLC pass—that will be smaller in size.
Beyond the new updates, CD Projekt Red has also released the theme song for Blood and Wine, which you can listen to below. The music was composed by Marcin Przybyłowicz with vocals by Laura Doddington and Jessica Jeza Vautor.
The game’s previous expansion, Hearts of Stone, was around 3.5 to 5GB in size. The fact that the new expansion should be that much bigger shouldn’t come as a surprise given that it is expected to carry at least 30 hours in content, with a new open area.
