A new look at the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage was given during Gamescom ONL. This presentation offered a glimpse of Basim recounting his time in Baghdad as a street thief. There’s even an Arabic voiceover if you want to further immerse yourself into the timeline and location where the new Assassin’s Creed video game installment takes place. Fortunately, you’re in luck if you missed out during today’s big Gamescom ONL stream showcase. This event was held earlier today and featured a variety of different trailers and updates to some of the more anticipated video games releasing soon. So if you didn’t catch the livestream when it happened, then you can still view the latest Assassin’s Creed Mirage trailer in the video we have embedded below.
The Assassin’s Creed franchise continues to thrive with new thrilling installments. We know that the next game is in the works and will be releasing this October. Since the game was revealed, it’s been confirmed that the gameplay experience will be more like the franchise’s roots. Essentially, developers have dialed the game back quite a bit. This will be a smaller game rather than the massive maps and countless side quests demanding some extensive hours to be spent. Players will be jumping back into the 9th century, where we’ll venture into a lively Baghdad.
We’re following a familiar face with Basim Ibn Ishaq in the campaign. If you don’t recall, Basim was first introduced in the previous installment of the franchise Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. But here, we’re going farther back into Basim’s life. We’ll follow him as a common street thief and work his way into becoming a member of the Assassin Brotherhood. Likewise, if you haven’t been following the game installment lately, you might not be aware the game is actually launching a bit earlier than expected.
The development team had reached the gold status a bit earlier, and they have opted to push the release date to October 5, 2022. So you’ll get your hands on the game a little bit sooner. Meanwhile, we know that when Assassin’s Creed Mirage launches, you’ll be able to get a copy of the game for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. With so many games now moving towards current-generation platforms only, it’s certainly nice knowing that fans of the Assassin’s Creed franchise can still enjoy this latest mainline installment on last-generation platforms.
