The assassin-for-hire simulator Hitman was originally set to release a new episode a month after its launch. The game, which came out last month, may have some of its content delayed. According to its developers at IO Interactive, the studio is still aiming for a monthly release of new content, but due to undisclosed reasons, they may be unable to provide a timely update.
This isn’t the first time Hitman has been delayed. The game’s Elusive Contracts mode—a series of timed missions that can only be played through once—has also been delayed.
They tweeted via their official Hitman account, “We’re aiming for a monthjly release per episode but this is subject to change.”

This doesn’t necessarily confirm a delay in content, however it looks like the developers are preparing for any foreseeable outcome. Should their content be rejected by Sony or Microsoft for QA reasons, this may result in a delay of the content, for example.
The game’s second episode, Sapienza, is set for release on April 26. Other content for the game, including free Escalation Contracts and the Vampire Magician Challenge Pack, have been released and IO Interactive has more in store.
