Bandai Namco Entertainment America has announced that Primal Game Studio’s sci-fi themed online game for the PC, Supernova, is now in open beta. Players from everywhere can jump into the game and command their armies in this action-packed RTS-meets-MOBA title that delivers elements from both genres.
Supernova invites players to fight as mechanized commanders or aliens to save their species from extinction. In addition to playing like a regular MOBA, players can also control minions, known as forces, to push down the lane towards the enemy base.
The open beta comes after several successful closed beta phases, in which the developers collected enough player feedback to develop its latest version.

To celebrate the open beta, two new commanders will be joining the ranks: Zan-Kir and J.P. Zan-Kir is a master of martial arts and can unleash powerful techniques to manipulate the flow of battle while J.P. is equipped with deadly missiles, powerful lasers, trap mines and state of the art radar that will destroy everything in his path. In addition, players will also be able to enjoy new skins and improved gameplay features.
Supernova will also see the addition of a new aesthetic feature called Environments, which allows players to choose the backdrop of their battle prior to the match. Two environments, the arid Desert and the Jungle are currently available. More will be added soon.
