Developers MercurySteam who has brought such video game titles as Clive Baker’s Jericho and most recently, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 has begun teasing a video game announcement set to be revealed at some point tomorrow. What this particular video game may be about is anyone’s guess, but there have been statements in the past that this next title will not be related to the Castlevania series.
MercurySteam is a development studio located in Spain. Over the past few years, MercurySteam has been working on Konami’s Castlevania franchise, more specifically, they have brought out the series Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Most recently, news started to spread that the development studio had worked on a Metroid prototype video game for the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS which was turned down.
As it stands right now, the official Twitter account has started to tease about a potential video game announcement tomorrow. Before this tweet, there has been a series of tweets that showcased some of the development teams past work along with the history of the studio.

With the tweet not giving any hints as to what the next video game installment may be, we’re completely in the dark. Speculation could suggest that this title will be unrelated to the Castlevania series simply because of comments made by MercurySteam’s producer Dave Cox.
According to Gamespot, during an interview session for at the time, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, Dave made mention that the development studio had a few ideas in the works that were outside of Castlevania and even making mention of MercurySteam wanting to try something with the Contra franchise.
